Guilcer and Barigadu

Guilcer and Barigadu

Concentration and memory: two qualities that the Guilcer and Barigadu regions possess in such abundance that one might suspect these lands are made of Omega-3, phosphorus, and zinc.

Nowhere else in Sardinia can boast, in proportion to its size, such a high concentration of archaeological sites and historical remains so well preserved.
We’re talking about places of the caliber of Nuraghe Losa, the Sacred Well of Santa Cristina, or the Roman Baths of Fordongianus, just to name a few—symbols of distant eras that, for millennia, have shone like beacons in the night, keeping alive the memory of an entire territory.
But the charm of these dozens of ancient testimonies is further enriched by the awe-inspiring natural setting, infused with beneficial properties—where not only memory and concentration are nourished, but also body and spirit. Think of the enchanting landscape of Lake Omodeo, with its mysterious ghost house; the Tirso River, Sardinia’s longest and most thermal watercourse; or the Assai Oasis, where visitors can spot deer, eagles, fallow deer, wild boar, and sparrowhawks.

History, nature, fine food and wine, and a cultural heritage unique in the world—Guilcer and Barigadu offer their visitors a wealth of unforgettable experiences that only two such rich and generous lands could provide.
