Foddini Beach (Spiaggia di Foddini) rests right on the border between Bari Sardo and Cardedu, blending seamlessly into an open, largely undeveloped stretch of coast. The shoreline is made of medium-grained golden sand that shifts toward gray tones near the water's edge, sprinkled with smooth little pebbles along the surf line.

The sea displays a soft color gradient, shifting from light emerald near the shore to deep azure out in the open water. The seabed drops off quite quickly after just a few steps, inviting immediate swims while calling for a bit of extra caution with young children. Toward the southern end, the beach meets the mouth of the Pelau River, where freshwater meets the sea to create a small wetland home to local wildlife.

Behind the sandy strip lies a thick pine forest mixed with Mediterranean scrub and reed beds, providing cool shade and shelter when strong winds sweep across this part of the coast. Access is via simple dirt tracks that wind through the greenery to convenient parking areas. Thanks to its generous width and the total absence of major development, Foddini remains blissfully uncrowded, ensuring you will always find plenty of personal space along the shore.
