The most prominent feature at Biralò is the plastic rendering of reliefs carved directly into the limestone. The walls of the burial chambers display geometric motifs, frames, and fake structural elements that serve no static or residential function, but act as sacred symbols linked to the realm of the afterlife. Among these, simulations of false doors stand out, conceived as impassable ritual gateways toward the world of the dead, alongside geometric engravings meant to mark the sacred character of the environments.
