If you are pagan, or thinking of becoming one, and find yourself in need of a sacred well where you can breathe in ancestral energies, the “De Neddinu” well would surely be the place for you.
Dating back to the Nuragic period, around 1200–900 BC (the Bronze Age), this charming and sacred site of worship is built entirely from trachyte stone. It features a chamber with an 18-meter perimeter and nine remarkably well-preserved steps leading about two meters below ground.
Despite the passing of time, the well still retains much of its original structure and stands as a magnificent example of how central the veneration of water was to the peoples of that era.
All around lies an authentic countryside rich with sites belonging to the Archaeological Area of Neapolis, making this the perfect setting for your Nuragic-pagan rites and celebrations.
