Santa Vittoria Mountain, in the municipality of Esterzili, is a rocky spur of the Gennargentu range, rising 1,220 meters above sea level and overlooking the regions of Ogliastra, Trexenta, and Sarrabus.

Immersed in an atmosphere that feels part National Geographic, part X-Files—with dense pine forests, CAI hiking trails, and perhaps the occasional silent extraterrestrial craft watching from above—we find a Megalithic Enclosure whose mysterious allure rivals, and perhaps surpasses, that of any UFO.
Its age and purpose remain unknown, and although information is rather scarce, the nearby presence of a Megaron Temple, a Sacred Area, and several villages and sanctuaries hints at just how significant these places were in Nuragic times.

Though today this Mega Enclosure isn’t in its finest shape, it still offers enough traces to spark the imagination—reminding us that what the eye cannot see can often be brought to life by wonder alone. All it takes is letting yourself be carried away by the suggestions (not by the aliens) that linger in such an ancient and magical place.
