It’s one of those places so breathtaking that, to truly capture its essence, this page ought to remain completely blank.
Yet we stand before a wonder whose paradisiacal nature deserves to be told and celebrated.
Dear guests, allow me to introduce you to Her Majesty Su Gologone, the most imposing karst spring in Sardinia and among the most significant in all of Italy.

Declared a National Natural Monument in 1998, it only takes a single photograph to feel an irresistible pull toward that small lake, its waters shimmering with enchanting colors. Beneath its crystalline surface lies a hidden world accessible (in part) only to a select few cave divers, among them Alberto Cavedon, who in 2010 reached the record depth of 135 meters.
The natural basin that cradles the spring is formed by dolomitic walls draped in lush, green vegetation; surrounded by woodland imbued with the unmistakable scent of the Mediterranean; and a small stream that flows into the Cedrino River (the fifth longest on the island), winding through a canyon that can be explored by kayak.

When you think about it, this spring set like a gem in the heart of the Supramonte is the perfect image of what one imagines Eden might be like — truly, a place that leaves you speechless.
