My name is Simone, and I am an Environmental and Hiking Guide. I grew up in a small village in central-southern Sardinia, surrounded by wheat fields and the animals on my family’s farm.
After graduating with a degree in Territorial Development from the University of Cagliari, I spent several periods abroad working and traveling; perhaps it was being away from home that made my love for my homeland grow so deeply.
Because of this, I decided to do something for my island, trying to connect the dots of my life and academic path.
What better way to foster local development than by introducing visitors to the territory through the words and stories of someone who actually lives and studies it? This vision gave birth to the Arreu in s’Isula project.
Today, I guide across almost the entire regional territory, but I specialize in the historical region where I grew up: the Marmilla. It is an area that is often underestimated, yet holds immense cultural and environmental potential.
